Early Life and Background

Ankur was born in Madhya Pradesh and is based in Indore, the city that has also hosted his biggest challenges. Before the ice, his world was martial arts. He trained in Taekwondo and earned a black belt, a path that rewards patience, repetition and the habit of staying calm under pressure.

We have deliberately kept this section short. Details about his family, schooling and personal life have not been shared publicly, so we are not guessing at them.

How He Became IceBoy

The nickname comes straight from his work. Ankur chose a rare field, long stays in direct contact with ice, and the name followed the result. “IceBoy” is now how most people in Indore and beyond know him, and it is the name he uses across his website and social media.

  • Longest Time to Be Submerged in an Ice Bath: 52 minutes, certified by the Indian Book of Records.
  • World Record Association: carries a page on his ice coffin stay.
  • Limca Book of Records: named among the recognitions in his own profile material.

What He Is Working On Now

Ankur has an approved World Records Attempt in the ice coffin category, planned for Indore in the coming months. The date and venue are still to be announced, and it is an attempt, not an achieved title. The latest updates are posted on theiceboy.in.

Why People Are Searching for Him

Mostly curiosity. Few people in India build a public identity around ice, so when his name appears in a clip or a headline, the first instinct is to look him up. Add the local pride of an Indore story heading toward a world stage, and it is easy to see why searches for his name keep climbing.
