Spider-Man: Brand New Day’s India net collection has breached the Rs 100 crore mark in just two days of release, according to trade tracker Sacnilk. The film, starring Tom Holland and directed by Destin Daniel Cretton, is distributed by Sony Pictures and opened in Indian theatres on Thursday, July 30, 2026, a day ahead of its global release on July 31.
The film’s first day brought in Rs 60.60 crore net, with a gross figure of Rs 71.51 crore, an opening trade watchers described as one of the year’s strongest for a Hollywood release in India.
Takings fell on the second day to Rs 49.35 crore net, an 18.6% decline from the opener, with the film screening across 16,902 shows and posting 64.8% occupancy across the country.
Adding both days together gives a net total of Rs 109.95 crore, meaning the film has already crossed the Rs 100 crore threshold before its opening weekend is even over.
The film opened across English, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam versions in Indian cinemas, a wide release designed to capture viewers across the country’s major language markets.
The weekend numbers will be closely watched next, as trade trackers say a strong Saturday-Sunday hold is what typically turns an opening surge into a lasting theatrical run.
The film also stars Zendaya and Sadie Sink reprising their roles alongside Tom Holland, with the returning cast a key draw for opening-weekend audiences in India.
Trade analysts note that Thursday releases have become common practice for major Hollywood titles in India, allowing an extra day of collections before the traditional Friday-to-Sunday opening weekend window.
Multiplex chains reported houseful shows for evening and night slots in metro cities including Mumbai, Delhi and Bengaluru through the first two days of release.
The film rounds out Tom Holland’s trilogy of solo Spider-Man features made in collaboration between Sony Pictures and Marvel Studios.
