India’s Test squad for the upcoming Sri Lanka tour will weigh in on the fitness of all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja, a central issue for selectors.

Jadeja has been recovering from a tennis elbow injury picked up during IPL 2026, and there is no official confirmation yet on his fitness timeline.

Jasprit Bumrah’s fitness is also under the selectors’ scanner. Both players missed India’s one-off Test against Afghanistan.

Jadeja is still expected to be in contention for a recall, given the value his all-round skills bring against Sri Lanka.

The two-match series opens with the first Test at Galle on August 15, followed by the second Test in Colombo from August 23.

India enter the series in fifth place in the World Test Championship standings.
