India completed a 3-0 T20I series sweep of Zimbabwe on Sunday, winning the third and final match by 35 runs at Harare Sports Club. India’s 192/5 set Zimbabwe a target of 193, and the hosts fell short at 157/7.
Vaibhav Sooryavanshi’s 81 off 49 balls was the standout batting performance of the innings. The 15-year-old opener had a maiden T20I fifty off 18 balls in the series opener and followed it with 20 off 9 balls in the second match.
Sooryavanshi is now the first cricketer from a full-member Test nation to score two international fifties before turning 16.
On the bowling side, Mayank Yadav took 3 for 29, and his spell was central to restricting Zimbabwe’s progress through the chase.
The T20I sweep adds to India’s 3-0 win in the ODI series earlier in the tour, completing a clean sweep of Zimbabwe across both formats.
