Security forces killed two suspected Jaish-e-Mohammad terrorists in an overnight joint operation in the Brattal-Sohan and Khubban forest areas of Udhampur district, Jammu and Kashmir.
The operation, codenamed Operation Sohan, was launched during the night of September 16-17 following confirmed intelligence about terrorist presence near Brattal.
Troops of the Army, Jammu and Kashmir Police and CRPF conducted the operation in difficult terrain and poor visibility, with contact established late at night.
Arms and ammunition were recovered from the encounter site, and no casualties were reported among the security forces.

Contact with the terrorists was established late at night, with firing and blasts reported during the initial phase of the operation targeting a suspected hideout.
No casualties were reported among the security forces involved in the operation.
