Mirzapur: The Movie’s 55,000 advance tickets in national chains as of September 2 point to a strong theatrical opening.

The film’s opening day is projected to collect Rs 21-26 crore, per trade estimates, with a pinpoint figure of Rs 24 crore net.

Advance sales in national chains are expected to close between 100,000 and 125,000 tickets with one day left before release.

The original franchise cast is back, with Pankaj Tripathi as Kaleen Bhaiya, Ali Fazal as Guddu Pandit and Divyenndu as Munna Bhaiya.

The film opens in cinemas on September 4, 2026, directed by Gurmmeet Singh and produced under the Excel Entertainment banner.

The film’s opening-day performance will be closely watched as an indicator of how well established streaming franchises can translate into theatrical box office success.

Trade estimates project the film could close its advance sales between 100,000 and 125,000 tickets in national chains with one day still remaining before release.

The film brings back the franchise’s original ensemble, including Kaleen Bhaiya (Pankaj Tripathi), Guddu Pandit (Ali Fazal), and Munna Bhaiya (Divyenndu), alongside new cast additions Ravi Kishan, Sonal Chauhan and Jitendra Kumar.

Mirzapur: The Movie is directed by Gurmmeet Singh and produced by Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani under the Excel Entertainment banner.

The theatrical release marks the transformation of a popular OTT web series into a full-length cinema release, a format shift that industry watchers say could open the door for similar adaptations.

Trade analysts caution that advance booking figures are subjective estimates and analytical projections rather than certified collection numbers.

The film’s advance sales are being tracked closely across major national multiplex chains including PVR Inox and Cinepolis ahead of its theatrical debut.

The Mirzapur franchise has built one of the most loyal fan followings among Hindi-language web series since its 2018 debut, a factor trade watchers say is driving the strong advance interest.
